Sun Tracking System for Solar panel project is made to
tracking the Sun at day time for utilizing its solar energy
properly for solar panel. The Sun tracking system which find
the position of the sun using the LDR. This project orients the
Solar Panel toward the sun, so that it can utilize with higher
accuracy. Our Sun Tracker system track the Sun by use of LDR
and rotate the solar panel by the gear motor. The voltage of the
solar panel is depending upon the angle of incidence between
the incoming light and a solar panel. This project will make the
solar panel directed to the sun which increases the amount of
energy produced from a fixed solar panel.
The direct beam of
sunlight carries about 90% of the solar energy and the
remaining will produce in the normal light like cloudy sky or
indirect beam. Normal solar panel is fixed with the stub which
is stable, so it produces more energy for 3 to 4 hours per day.
After that the production of energy is reduced. This sun tracker
will increase the energy production by absorb the sunlight
direct beam. This system is embedded with Arduino to control
the solar panel. It will increase the energy production rate with
low cost of implementation.
